We are hiring for a market leader in specialist business software, seeking a Business Development Manager to grow their team and take this brand to the next level. Candidates must ideally come from SAAS software sales backgrounds, and be used to giving demos and closing deals. Candidates that are only coming from lead generation backgrounds that haven’t actually closed and billed subscriptions will not be considered.
The Business Development Manager role is likely going to be based partly in the office, and partly from home if required, perhaps a 3/2 split. In terms of the role itself leads and opportunities will be funnelled into the role through a very strong and successful marketing strategy, these come in a range of formats from confirmed requests for demos or data on people that have been investigating their products, and are flagged as potentially being interested. However additionally to this there will be a real focus on bringing in customers from target audiences in key sectors, and that will make up over 50% of the role. Please note the value of their premium product is about £3k+ for an annual subscription, so the sales process is quite short and there’s lots of opportunities for quick sales.
Most of the sales work will be done through Sales Navigator so any experience of this or other similar CRM would be an advantage, and of course exposure to Linked in. It’s also that candidates coming in are particularly digital savvy, and ideally have a strong understanding of digital marketing such as SEO & PPC.
As this is a SAAS product, candidates must be apt at solution selling methods and value-proposition techniques. On a day to day basis you will be contacting companies, scoping market opportunities, giving demos, closing subscriptions, growing accounts, managing your pipeline and adding strategic value into the sales team in terms of opportunities.
As outlined candidates must have experience either within software sales ideally within a SAAS environment and not just lead generation. You must be incredibly tech savvy able to use both CRM systems and giving virtual demos. For the right candidate it’s a fantastic opportunity at a very stable and growing business, with strong commission.
Based in Milton Keynes this software house is growing and they plan to increase the headcount even further over the next few months. Commutable locations for the position are Bedford, Luton, Milton Keynes, Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth, Royston, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Northampton, Aylesbury, Oxford and Welwyn Garden City.
