Our client provides a specialist service to the construction industry, operating throughout the UK.
As a Business Development Manager, you will carry out a comprehensive market analysis to understand trends, opportunities, and identify potential clients.
You will identify new business opportunities and build a pipeline of prospects by qualifying leads, building (and maintaining) strong client relationships as well as seeking out the appropriate contact within an organisation to develop new opportunities. You will generate and attend face-to-face appointments (Covid dependent) with clients and entertain clients to build rapport and maintain a happy working relationship. As a consultative, yet sales hungry BDM, you will understand clients’ needs via a consultative approach to develop effective solutions for acquisition and retention campaigns.
The role encompasses close collaboration with the MD to co-ordinate the sales and marketing side of the business, working closely with the marketing department to look advertising opportunities too. You will have a minimum 3 years sales experience preferably within construction (though not essential), be an excellent communicator with well-developed skills in listening, building relationships, presenting and producing written communications. You will be well organised, self-motivated and driven by success both personally and for your career with the company.
You will be comfortable working independently, having the ability to influence and drive results, be proficient at identifying business opportunities and be computer literate (preferably with experience on CRM).
