We’re recruiting a new Head of Sales role for one of the UK’s leading organisations in the consumer home goods sector. It’s a newly created role, with great growth and strategic opportunity, taking responsibility for a growing product range already heavily retailed through established retail networks.
What do they need in experience? Significant management experience ideally of a national and varied UK sales team, including both in house customer service and sales support as well as a national network of field sales reps managed through a reporting line of 5/6 senior managers. They really need a motivated charismatic leader, capable of driving strategic change from the top right down to grass roots of the department.
They need somebody who can instil a new energy and direction into a company that’s already successful but wants to push on even further. Candidates must have extensive experience in a senior sales role at a consumer goods focused business sold throughout retail across the UK. Product is less important so it could be food/FMCG, consumer durables, electronics, appliances, home products, and sold either through supermarkets or retail trade. Ideally the candidate will have experience at high end premium brands and associated marketing strategy, so is well versed in the luxury sell as opposed to price focused products.
