Are you responsible for £10m+ UK sales, ambitious, hands on, and keen to take a role not only offering you the jump you need but future growth opportunities as well? The opportunity we have is heading up a team of 3 regional salespeople across the UK, whilst simultaneously having responsibility for the entire UK distribution network consisting of the likes of Edmundson, CEF, Rexel and many more, an extensive network of independent B2C retailers and small chains, and a variety of specialist ecommerce businesses. Your role will be simple, own and improve the UK’s overall performance, whilst supporting, developing and growing the UK sales team. The role is very hands on, and as such we need a commercially minded manager, keen to graft and get hands on with all the routes to market in the UK, closing deals, breaking down doors and maximising returns and service. Somebody who can work cross functionally with the project and specifications team supporting them with bids and tenders and managing sales through the distribution network, whilst driving referral business and further key large brand projects in housing and hospitality. Given the price point and brand equity of the business candidates from lower end brands will not be considered, all applicants must have extensive experience selling premium branded goods, used to value selling not discounting. Ideally you will be used to working omnichannel (This doesn’t have to be in the same role at once), digitally astute enough to know ecommerce, and intelligent enough to manage B2B and B2C channels in their own way. You must come from a home focused built in interior product so Kitchen, Bedroom Bathroom (KBB), fixtures such as wall accessories/lighting,  door handles, bells, security are all options provided it’s premium high-end of the range. You must have existing management experience of at least 2 people, but we’re not looking for candidates that have worked above this pay grade in strategic roles taking a step back. This is a player manager role, best suited to an upcoming UK sales specialist, keen to make their mark for another brand. The role offers an executive level package, car, bonus etc and will need to be based at least one day a week out of their office just outside of London, as such candidates must be located no further north than the midlands, and happy spending some time in their office. We are hiring for a market leader in specialist business software, seeking a Sales Account Executive to grow their team and take their already successful brand to the next level. Candidates must come from software sales backgrounds (Ideally SAAS), used to hunting prospects, and converting new customers by giving demos and closing deals. Candidates will ideally have closed and billed subscriptions, though candidates with strong SAAS lead generation skills and some exposure to the accounting sector either via product or education may also be considered. The Sales Account Executive role is a hybrid role based and can be based between home and their Leicestershire office, depending on the clients needs for the demo and whether they are happy to do it remotely or want you to attend their office, there could be a field element. In terms of the role itself warm leads through collected data and marketing responses/enquiries will be provided, but you will also have to take the initiative hunting down new cold leads as well. As this is a SAAS product, candidates must be apt at solution selling methods and value-proposition techniques. Sales is a tough gig, even tougher when the product you are trying to sell is below par or you have no personal interest in it. Couple that with an inflexible employer, no career growth opportunities and a capped commission structure, and it’s enough to make an adult T-Rex cry. What if I (This advert)  was to tell you there was a role selling market leading consumer electronics products into retail networks, distributors and independents that that they will bite your hand off for. Why would they bite you ask me, that’s not nice? Because their competitors are already selling them, because the margins are excellent, because they’re already proven and appearing in TV Shows! What if the same company needing this role had no existing sales staff within this division but is already achieving £1m+ sales within the partners you would inherit with minimum effort, so as well as getting ownership over the opportunity there would be no glass ceiling for future career growth. And on top of that it’s a great team, with good benefits and a flexible working culture. What is the catch? Well you have to be a motivated self-starter with the existing composure to take ownership for current partners like Argos and Robert Dyas, but drive heavily for more in a variety of different channels such as hospitality, ecom and distribution. You must be willing to break down doors, open new relationships, negotiate contracts. You mustn’t be corporate, happy not wearing a suit but willing to if needed to win a deal. Travelling internationally must be appealing, and you have to be commercially sound and money motivated to take this rocket as high as it can fly. Hang on there is no salary on the advert, this must be a trick? Yes that’s right because at the moment we don’t actually know what we need to pay, and as we don’t want to put it wrong and miss speaking with you if you’re the right person. This is a field-based role, so location is flexible, but given the areas it’s covering, somebody based in the North of England, ideally around the Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield or Leeds area would be ideal. Candidates will ideally be coming with a mixture of both wholesale distributor experience, and retail, as the current position covers around a split of 50/50 in terms of the performance in the region, though candidates with online the detail side but the aptitude and ability to pick up wholesaler will also be of interest.
