We’re working with one of East Anglia’s success stories on a new role heading up a team, and taking the leading role in global sales of their niche technical range. It’s a fantastic role for somebody that enjoys international travel as you will get the opportunity to travel the globe regularly. But also a rewarding and varied position for a technical salesperson, who enjoys building relationships with OEM’s and  distributors alike. Candidates will be of particular interest if you’re bringing global technical sales experience either selling components/consumables into OEMs/Distribution, or finished products that are of a highly technical nature. As the customers will likely be specialists in their field, you will need the ability to really understand the range and target market so that you cans sell against competitors in the field. Overview of key duties:
  • Develop annual sales strategy
  • Strategise quarterly sales & travel plans.
  • Identify growth opportunities through new distributors and OEM customers.
  • Review individual customers to establish opportunities for added growth/revenue
  • Manage performance of an internal/external sales team of 5
  • Reporting on success/plans to senior management

Sales is a tough gig, even tougher when the product you are trying to sell is below par or you have no personal interest in it. Couple that with an inflexible employer, no career growth opportunities and a capped commission structure, and it’s enough to make an adult T-Rex cry. What if I (This advert)  was to tell you there was a role selling market leading consumer electronics products into retail networks, distributors and independents that that they will bite your hand off for. Why would they bite you ask me, that’s not nice? Because their competitors are already selling them, because the margins are excellent, because they’re already proven and appearing in TV Shows! What if the same company needing this role had no existing sales staff within this division but is already achieving £1m+ sales within the partners you would inherit with minimum effort, so as well as getting ownership over the opportunity there would be no glass ceiling for future career growth. And on top of that it’s a great team, with good benefits and a flexible working culture. What is the catch? Well you have to be a motivated self-starter with the existing composure to take ownership for current partners like Argos and Robert Dyas, but drive heavily for more in a variety of different channels such as hospitality, ecom and distribution. You must be willing to break down doors, open new relationships, negotiate contracts. You mustn’t be corporate, happy not wearing a suit but willing to if needed to win a deal. Travelling internationally must be appealing, and you have to be commercially sound and money motivated to take this rocket as high as it can fly. Hang on there is no salary on the advert, this must be a trick? Yes that’s right because at the moment we don’t actually know what we need to pay, and as we don’t want to put it wrong and miss speaking with you if you’re the right person. We’re working with a specialist brand in the interior design and home electronics sector, currently seeking an area sales manager to take on a role covering the North of England England. This is a field-based role, so location is flexible, but given the areas it’s covering, somebody based in the North of England, ideally around the Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield or Leeds area would be ideal. Candidates will ideally be coming with a mixture of both wholesale distributor experience, and retail, as the current position covers around a split of 50/50 in terms of the performance in the region, though candidates with online the detail side but the aptitude and ability to pick up wholesaler will also be of interest. We’re working with a leading media company in the engineering sector seeking a forward-thinking Senior Media Sales Manager to take responsibility for selling media services across both print and digital formats. They offer a whole range of products such as events, magazines, e-newsletters, banner advertising, breakfast meetings, podcasts, email marketing, data services and branded content. And as such they need a Senior Media Sales Manager with a great understanding of different print and digital products, and excellent sales skills, capable of both managing existing established accounts and hunting new business with leading players within their industry. Given the level of the role applicants must be able to think and operate strategically. The role will be responsible for managing a small team of 2 people, so some management experience is ideal but not essential. We’re working with a marketing leading manufacturer in the construction and engineering sector, as they seek an experienced B2B Sales Executive to join the team. Ideally candidates will have a technical sales background and experience within the construction, engineering, marine, manufacturing sectors, though candidates with confident sales ability and no technical sales experience will also be considered. The roles are hybrid inbound/outbound but as the business is so established and a market leader in their field, for the first 3 – 6 months any outbound work is likely going to be to previous customers and warm as opposed to cold, and there’s every chance you could only be working on the inbound side for the majority of the time. This said they do encourage staff to get out and meet clients in person once established within the business, and pool cars are available for this. The role would be office based for the first 6 months as due to the learning curve with the products and the technical nature of what they do it’s essential you’re amongst the team whilst working. However some hybrid working can be considered post successful completion of probation, should this be desirable longer term. Sales Executive Responsibilities Include • Managing inbound enquiries and customer visits • Dealing directly with customers delivering exceptional 5* customer service • Ensuring their CRM system is updated to track leads/pipeline • Key Account management, to maintain relationships and drive repeat business • Outbound warm calling to potential new customers and occasional proactive research to seek out potential new customers • Continuing industry research to improve technical capability • Attending events and suppliers Required Skills & Experience: • You’ll be tenacious & hungry attitude to sales • Excellent written & verbal communication • Ability to work well within a team • Ability to organise and deliver results • Clear and confident telephone manner with Inquisitive and positive nature • Excellent numerical skills • Confident using Microsoft 365 Office software and experience working with CRM platforms • 3 Years B2B sales experience preferred • A confident and pro-active nature, so you’ll be always looking for Solutions and ways to improve • You’ll be Self Motivated and have a passion to go beyond Expectation This is a fantastic opportunity with considerable earning potential for a motivated and proactive salesperson. This is not just a transactional role, we need somebody with both an eye for recurring transactional revenue, and larger more creative recruitment sponsorship deals. You will lead by example, generating substantial revenues from productive key accounts, inbound leads and developing new business. The role will not be starting from scratch as you will be taking over both the strategic operation and sales funnel of 7/8 existing products which you will manage with your team. And there is alwready substantial pielines of opportunity, and a black book of existing customers across other media formats.
